About Us
Natyasampada Pratishthan was founded in 2006 by the late Shri. Prabhakar Panshikar, the legendary actor and producer of the Marathi theatre.
Our objectives include research and promotion of Theatre, Sanskrit Literature, and Indian Classical and other music. Our goal is to spread the rich culture of Indian arts and music to the masses, especially the younger generation.
To fulfill this vision, we started organizing the “Gaana Saraswati Mahotsav” in 2013. This event honors the legacy of Gaana Saraswati Padma Vibhushan Smt. Kishori Amonkar and celebrates her invaluable contribution to Indian Classical Music.
Artists who have performed in the Mahotsav include both legendary figures and talented emerging performers. As part of our mission, we have also organized lectures by Smt. Amonkar on the scientific and aesthetic aspects of Indian Classical Music.
We aspire to continue such initiatives in the future to enrich the cultural landscape and reach more people with the beauty of Indian classical arts.
